چکیده
An optical fiber temperature sensor based on Mach–Zehnder interferometer and thermo-optic effect of the liquid crystal (LC) in ring laser (FRL) system is proposed experimentally demonstrated. The LC infiltrated into core hollow fiber, resonant wavelength more sensitive to variation due interaction between incident light cavity infiltrating with high thermal coefficient. Meanwhile, FRL was further used make have good performance case signal-to-noise ratio (∼35 dB), narrow half-height width (FWHM = 0.15 nm), sensitivity range from 20 °C 50 °C, maximum 1.318 nm/°C. As far as we know, system, material has a better sensing than previous fiber. Nevertheless, advantages repeatability, low cost, simple production, small volume, sensitivity. In marine microbial culture detection, it necessary carry out measurement within range. This reliable excellent potential application prospect.

Gas Sensor Based on Large Hollow-Core Photonic Bandgap Fiber
One concern in using photonic band-gap fiber (PBGF) as a gas sensor is the response time. In this type of the gas sensors, response time is the time required for gas to diffuse into the hollow-core. So considering a large hollow-core PBGF (HC-PBGF), the response time can be significantly reduced. But in the large HC-PBGF, the fundamental issue is the presence of higher order modes (HOMs). Somet...

A compact fiber polarizer is demonstrated by the filling of selected air holes of a hollow-core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with a liquid. The liquid-filling results in an asymmetric waveguide structure, leading to a large polarization dependent loss. A 6 mm long ethanol-filled PCF exhibits a polarization extinction ratio of ∼18 dB over a wavelength range from 1480 nm to 1600 nm.
متن کاملLaser-cooled atoms inside a hollow-core photonic-crystal fiber
We describe the loading of laser-cooled rubidium atoms into a single-mode hollow-core photonic-crystal fiber. Inside the fiber, the atoms are confined by a far-detuned optical trap and probed by a weak resonant beam. We describe different loading methods and compare their trade-offs in terms of implementation complexity and atom-loading efficiency. The most efficient procedure results in loadin...
متن کاملFlying particle microlaser and temperature sensor in hollow-core photonic crystal fiber.
Whispering-gallery mode (WGM) resonators combine small optical mode volumes with narrow resonance linewidths, making them exciting platforms for a variety of applications. Here we report a flying WGM microlaser, realized by optically trapping a dye-doped microparticle within a liquid-filled hollow-core photonic crystal fiber (HC-PCF) using a CW laser and then pumping it with a pulsed excitation...
